// find some files and do some action to it
$ find . -name '.txt' -print
$ find . -type f -name '.avi' -delete
$ find . -type f -not -name '.mov' -delete
$ find . -type f -not -name '.o' -exec rm -f {} \;

// secure remote copy
$ scp thisfile.txt  id@aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd:/home/folder/destination
